TRACTOR EMITTER

POWER

Holding a ship draws power by its distance: the idle power alongside, rising evenly to the max power at the beam range. The beam cannot lock, or push a ship, further out than the available power can hold, and a held ship is let go if the power falls below what its distance needs.

WARP FIELD

A held ship is ready to go to warp with us when all of its hull is inside the field radius and its heading is within the tolerance of ours.

SHIPS

The beam cannot lock on a ship with its shields up; a held ship that raises them breaks free.
